Nagkaroon nga ako ng lead sa paghahanap isang beses, 'kala ko nga ang grupong "SPYRO GYRA" ang tumugtog, pero hindi pala, si CHUCK MANGIONE pala!

Pinoy Rock bands of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s in benefit gig for Ka Randy

Three famous Pinoy Rock bands, each of which gained popularity in their own generations, are set to perform in a benefit concert for the immediate release of militant peasant leader Randall “Ka Randy” Echanis on Thursday.

The concert, dubbed as “TINIG 3… Awitan para sa Lupa, Kalayaan, at Katotohanan, Benefit Gig for the Immediate Release of Ka Randy Echanis” was organized by the Tinig ng Silangan Party Alliance Alumni Association (TNSPAAA) and the Free Randall Echanis Movement (Freedom).

The benefit gig highlights the performance of progressive artists from the 70’s to the 90’s which includes Lolita Carbon of Asin, a famous Pinoy rock band in the 70’s; Chicoy Pura of the alternative rock band The Jerks of the 80’s, Bobby Balingit of the punk-rock band The Wuds of the 90’s, and various artists.

“The combination of the three famous progressive artists and their music from three different generations is a concrete personification of Ka Randy’s lifelong struggle,” says Freedom spokesperson Ranmil Echanis.

Leaders of progressive people’s organizations like Bagong Alyansang Makabayan secretary general Renato Reyes Jr. and various artists including poet Axel Pinpin of the Tagaytay 5 are also set to give their piece.

The concert for Ka Randy’s freedom will be held at My Brother’s Moustache at #68 Sct. Tuazon Cor. Sct. Madrinan, QC, October 16, 2008, from 6PM to 12MN. Tickets are available at P100 and P500 at the KMP office or contact 928-41-84 and at the gates of My Brother’s Moustache. #

...sabi ko uli sa sarili ko, eh kung si Jose Rizal naman kaya? Ewan ko kung bakit ganito itsura nya ang lumabas, pero sa palagay ko, kung tumanda si Rizal, eto magiging itsura nya....

Tapos, siyempre, sabi ko uli sa sarili ko, sa komiks naman...ito naman ang nahagip ko na gaw'an ng pin-up...


...isa siya sa mga pangunahing bida ni Arnold Arre sa "Mythology Class"!

...tapos uli (panghuli na 'to!), d'un sa mga nagdaang entry, parang obsessed ako sa "egyptian culture", pero sa tingin ko, hindi naman talaga mukhang egyptian 'yung mga drawing ko eh...bilang pagsubok o pag-confirm, inisip ko na gumawa ng "sphinx"...at eto ang kinalabasan...


...at ang naging verdict? Hindi nga Egyptian! Mayan ang mga drawing Ko!
